i admit that, though lack of money is the main reason I haven't been to New York, the fear of such things as being shot is way up there. I still want to go, and thanks to you figure it's safer than seems to be its image. Even the subway. Also, I had heard that the people were so very unfriendly. I have recently heard from several people who've been there that this isn't true. Some day I hope to see for myself. Maybe when I win the Maureen Egen Writers Exchange Award for Poets and Writers. :)
