The fastest known moon in our solar system, Metis, travels at 70400 mph, circling Jupiter every 7 hours, 4 minutes, and 29 seconds.

  2. Wow...that's over 30 times as fast as our moon goes around the earth. That's 92 times the speed of sound at sea level. And one revolution is about 4 times as long as the number of days in Alaska this year when there was sunshine and the temperature was above freezing. :(
