I will never forget a conversation I had years ago at a gas station. Gas prices were on the increase. I said that the government would never let gas prices go over $1.00/gallon. Grrr....
I remember when gas prices hit $1 per gallon. The gas pumps could not be set for a 3 digit price, so the station would set them for half the price and then double it when charging you. (This was pre-self-serve.)
