Sean :: Is there any special term for a prime p, such that the prime squared plus one is also a prime?

Kevin :: Yes. 2. If you can think of any other example, you should alert the media.

  1. Don't just alert the media. Have a frickin' heart attack. Any prime other than two is odd. So, consider a prime (p) other than two. p is odd, so p squared is odd. So p squared plus 1 is even and therefore not prime.
